- Comments: This is a very interesting wood combination. The Ovangkol has a warmth reminiscent of Walnut, but also has the low mids and Bass punch found in good Rosewood. The Euro spruce gives you very clear, precise highs with lots of headroom. The result is a very versatile guitar with controlled clear overtones. Lakewood uses a D shape for their necks that I love as well. These guitars are an amazing value!
