- Comments: Joshua House is one of very few younger Luthiers to have a unique and distinct sound completely his own. While you can almost hear a hint of vintage Martin in the low mids of this guitar, the magic is in the high mids and trebles. Dreads tend to be a bit crispy or brash in the trebles. This guitar is loud, but the trebles have a sweet woody warmth. The high mids are punchy, like an SS Dread should be, but are also quite warm and clear. This is a voice to be reckoned with for flatpicking. It is perfectly balanced for fingerpicking as well, a rarity for a Dread. The aesthetics of this guitar are remarkable in every detail...beautiful beeswing mahogany paired with superb torrified adi...just stunning!
